Keegan, Serena and I went rollerblading in the church parking lot last night with Leah and Sam while Jeff had music practice. Leah is about Keegan's age and Sam is about Serena's age.
We began by sharing skates because Sam and Serena had inherited their older siblings skates, and they really didn't want them. After a brief conversation with Leah and Sam's mother, we swapped Keegan's outgrown black and blue boy skates for Leah's outgrown pink and yellow girl skates. This made both Sam and Serena very grateful to have proper gender colored skates, and everyone skated a bit more joyously.
Shortly after the swap, Leah and Sam had to go home, so I skated for over an hour with just Keegan and Serena. Keegan has had previous experience on rollerblades, while Serena had none. Honestly, Keegan is doing much better, and he even looks smooth. Serena learned as she went, and by the end of the evening, she wouldn't even take my hand as she glided along!
We ended the evening at Mancinos! Yum!
