Detroit Tigers and Greenfield Village

We took a two day excursion to Detroit for some family fun! Keegan took his friend, Ike, along with us.

Keegan, Ike, and Jeff in Ford Field-we were allowed to walk through on our way to Comerica Park.

We were up high, but we had great seats!

Goofy boys!

Some men behind us were heckling me about the boys using the baseball bats and golf balls to play ball in the house. So, Jeff asked them to take our picture to commemorate the occasion.

The Tigers won! We actually watched the evening game (double-header) on a big screen TV at the restaurant in the evening. It was a lot of fun. We also went swimming in the pool at the hotel. I did not take any pictures there because I wanted to have fun in the pool!

On the next day, we went to Greenfield Village, which is a historic town that Henry Ford created.

Here is a giant tractor!

The boys both were able to make brass candle sticks on a lathe at the brass machine works shop.

Keegan's turn.

Then, we rode in a Model-T Ford.

Ike and Keegan decided to play checkers at the old fashioned grocery store.

Here, we relaxed in the parlor of an old farm house.

We watched the worker do glass-blowing. It was 100 degrees in that factory!

We were able to walk underneath a train and look up at one of the steam locomotives. Apparently, there are only two places in the United State where a person can walk underneath a locomotive.

Last, but not least, we were able to ride on a train around the village.
