Fall of 2015 - The Road to Cedarville

(Warning: if you have not read the previous posts about "The Road to Cedarville," you may become dizzyingly and chronologically lost.)

Many things changed for us in the Fall of 2015-far too many things to write here, but we could see God was in ALL of the changes.  School began for Jeff and the children.  I started teaching private music lessons again.  After the three months of summer, I was very grateful to be back on some semblance of a schedule!

Our small group through our church reconvened, and as was the usual practice, the families updated one another about their summer adventures.  Of course, we shared about "The Road to Cedarville."  Things were still very uncertain in our eyes, but we knew that God was calling us to pursue the unknown path.  As small groups often do, we studied God's Word and prayed for one another.

After a month or so, the fall routine of life became very comfortable.  Jeff had applied to Cedarville University, and we were waiting to hear a response from them.  After what seemed an unusually long time, the school contacted Jeff and scheduled an interview.  The waiting and praying continued.

One evening after the children retired to bed, Jeff received a text message.  Our neighbors (who were a part of our small group) asked us about our house. (!?)  Our neighbor farmed and had often inquired as to whether Jeff would lease him our land in order to plant corn.  Jeff much preferred hay over corn, and that's where the conversation ended.  In addition, the neighbors planned to build a new house on the back of their property once the timing was right.  Essentially, the neighbors were interested in our house if we were leaving!  God ordained plans continued to unfold!
