As with God, things did not happen exactly how we would have planned.
(Warning: if you have not read the previous posts about "The Road to Cedarville," you may become dizzyingly and chronologically lost.)
We had to research Cedarville, the University, the city, and especially the school of Pharmacy. Of course, we talked with our children, even making a trip to visit in July on our way to another Pharmacy conference. We shared a meal and had great conversation with one of the administrators and his wife. It was most definitely a blessed time. Our children even became a bit excited about this new adventure.
At the July conference for schools of Pharmacy, Jeff was able to meet and discuss things with several faculty and administration from Cedarville. Hearts were stirred, and I know that our family excitement gained momentum. Many connections were made, and God revealed that the prospects for the future were growing.
Upon the return of our trip, we shared with people from our church to pray with us about what we were starting to see: God opening a road--a plan--a journey for us to follow. We were thrilled; we were scared. God was calling us to a "distant" land; a land with many unknowns and certainly withOUT any of our family.
Jeff applied for a position at Cedarville University.
