We Doubled the Woodpile!

WOW! We doubled the woodpile. For those of you who have been to our house, you may ask, "How is that possible?" Well, tree three was extremely large! The old pile was about 35-40 feet long and five feet high. In order to accommodate the new wood, we made a new row in front of the old one.

A large thanks goes out to our brother-in-law, "Skippy" Jeff. He came about an hour and a half north with his tractor to help us dig this giant out of the pond. Because he came to help, it only took us a little over six hours to take care of the tree.

The work was messy. Keegan loved it!

We had a boat, two chain saws, many chains and ropes, other various tools, and the Kubota tractor. Go, Skippy, go!

I got to drive this beast.

Jeff and Jeff would tie ropes to limbs, cut them, and Keegan and I would drag them up on the shore. There, one Jeff or another would cut limbs into pieces, and I would transport it via Kubota to the ever growing pile.

No more tree in the pond - Mama of the house is happy!
