Our family will be growing soon. In nine short days, we will have a seven year old girl move into our house, raising the total from three people to four.
God's leading in such matters is tremendous! About two months ago, we were told about Serena, a seven year old girl who might be a possibility to adopt. At that time, we were thinking that we should find another boy. As we prayed and sought the Lord's will, we were compelled to pray for Serena in her circumstance, too. Through these circumstances, she found a way into all three of our hearts.
Today the call came. Our social worker asked if we were ready for things to happen right NOW. Of course we think that we are ready. When the grand total of days to visit with the girl is one, and nine before she moves into our house, we trust that God's timing has been perfect.
We are amazed, ecstatic, and elated all at the same time.
