Jeff and I shared with Keegan about the good news of his adoption being approved last night. Previously, we had told him that we were waiting on one more set of paperwork.
Jeff had him listen to the message on speaker phone that the adoption worker left for us. As the message played, Keegan excitedly asked, "Is that the paper? Is that the paper?" Of course, we confirmed the answer. Keegan became even more excited, and began shouting, "Yay, yay..." Suddenly, he became really quiet to listen to the rest of the message, staring intently at the phone.
The worker said that he would officially be ours on Friday or Monday. Keegan grinned at this statement, still staring at the phone. As the worker concluded her message, Keegan just kept staring at the phone, mesmorized by the news. As he watched, he slowly whispered, "Whoa. Let's listen to it again."
Jeff and I burst into laughter at this point because the little gruber was so serious.
